We often talk about “free time” as if it’s something casual, something extra. Something that appears once the important things are finished.
But this isn’t free time.
It’s your time.
Time doesn’t become valuable only when we are working, producing, or achieving something.
Some of the most important moments we hold onto are the simplest ones.
The quiet Sunday mornings that turn into ocean swims and jazz by the pool.
A drive in the car with nowhere particular to be, unsure of where to go.
Mimosas, wine and sunshine.
Fresh lemons on your favourite dish.
These are the moments that remind us life isn’t just about filling time, it’s about experiencing it.
That is where Sunday takes its place at the top for me.
This is where those moments fill the hours.
Free time is disposable.
But in reality, your time is the most valuable time we have.
Because it belongs entirely to us.
And how we spend it becomes the life we remember.
