How a crazy and fun personal life, restless energy, and varied passions have directly shaped his artistic style blur the lines between autobiography and art narrative.
Creativity, for me, isn’t just some abstract force — it’s woven into the chaos and colour of my everyday life. Whether I’m trading jokes with family any hour of the day, catching inspiration from a stranger’s style on the street, or replaying moments from travels that left a mark, I find art in the fragments that make up my days.
I don’t sit still, and neither does my process. Restlessness pushes me into new territories, turning whatever’s right in front of me — memory, fashion, heartbreak, joy — into something creative, untamed in design, or raw in a character’s story. The line between autobiography and art doesn’t just blur for me; it gets stomped on and painted over, making each piece a glimpse into a life lived on the move.
My style refuses to behave or settle into a neat category. Each new chapter, each impulsive idea, shapes what Bald Art looks and feels like. One day I’m transforming childhood nostalgia into interesting and dreamlike worlds in a sketch book, the next aiming at mirroring the pulse of a city’s energy inside a new brand’s DNA.
I want people looking at my work to feel exactly what I felt in those moments — messiness, meaning, and the thrill of catching lightning in a bottle just once before it’s gone. Real creative disruption doesn’t come from perfection or rules — it’s the collision of experience and imagination, and I embrace every imperfect, relentless bit of it.
Right now, my creativity is feeding off the energy of Spain and Portugal — every twist of an alleyway, every burst of colour on a tiled wall pushes me somewhere new. I’m winding through these streets, sketchbook tucked in my bag, chasing fresh ideas for a new series of artwork that’s just starting to take shape in my head. There’s also a children’s book in the works, inspired by the wild imagination I see in these places and the stories I want kids to dream in.
And every step, I’m collaborating with Lisa Frances — my partner in adventure and creativity — helping her build out a brand that refuses to look like anything already out there. Here it’s impossible to stand still, and that’s exactly how I like it. Stay Safe and Play Nice.
Andy.
